DIET & INTENTION
In preparing our body and mind for deep transformation, we always adhere to a clean and conscious diet for a minimum of 7-14 days before, and we recommend maintaining it for a minimum of a week afterward. The most critical factor is avoiding fried foods, processed foods, sugar, fermented foods, gluten, dairy, and pork. This dietary regimen serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it involves a physical cleansing that not only enhances the experience but also primes the body for healing. Secondly, it embodies an element of reverence and sacrifice, which we consider essential for transformational work—essentially, it's about "giving up our vices." What you invest in it is what you'll receive from it.
To prepare your mind a few days in advance, begin by solidifying your intention for the work and creating the receptive mindset to receive guidance from your Authentic Self. Abstaining from sexual activity four days before the session can help recirculate Kundalini energy, intensifying the energetic work. We also recommend following abstinence for an additional 2-4 days afterward, if possible.
On the day of the ceremony, keep your meals light. In addition to the dietary guidelines mentioned earlier, we recommend consuming vegetables, smoothies, and soups with high-quality sodium. Hydrate well and take some electrolytes. Some individuals choose to fast on the day of the ceremony, but we personally do not. We have found that being hungry during the experience can be too distracting and uncomfortable. However, if you are accustomed to fasting and can tolerate it, feel free to do so. It's generally a good idea to refrain from solid food for at least 3 hours before starting, unless you have blood sugar issues.
