WHAT IS TRAUMA?

There is nothing to fear in our emotions — they will not swallow you whole — they will speak to you in profound ways.

Everyone experiences trauma.

Trauma can be described as a powerful emotional current that alters our perception of reality. At FirstMemory, we use a range of modalities to help you reclaim lost parts of yourself by encouraging the natural release of suppressed emotions and heavy energies—so you can experience more vitality, joy, and health. Our approach includes meditation, breathwork, affirmations, shamanic techniques, weight training, yoga, mobility work, healthy nutrition, and what we call vigilante mindfulness—a fierce commitment to staying present, where your wholeness already exists.

All traumatic experiences leave an imprint on the mind and body. This holds true for both acute trauma and developmental trauma. These experiences generate a high degree of emotional energy, overwhelming the nervous system and causing it to fragment or "fracture off" much of the sensory input. While this is a protective mechanism, if the displaced energy is not reintegrated into the system, it can create choke points in the body’s natural energy flow—leading to a wide range of physical and psychological symptoms.

What can we do?

The process of defragmentation follows two steps:

  1. The healthy expression of suppressed emotional energy

  2. Reframing the event in a way that no longer triggers unhealthy responses

While recent studies highlight the effectiveness of somatic practices in treating trauma, no other system currently offers such a comprehensive, nuanced engagement of the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic bodies. By combining ancient wisdom with modern somatic and psychological practices, our method provides a unique and powerful path for transforming painful memories and patterns.

Let us help you walk through the fire—and emerge more powerful, whole, and victorious.
